Myth-A-Con

We want to help build the community in Calgary. As such we have began to host an Event Called Myth-a-Con. This is a Role-Playing and Miniatures games convention held at the Calgary Marlbourough Community Association. It runs on the Labor Day long weekend and features: WarMachine/Hordes, Warhammer Fantasy, 40k, D&D, Pathfinder, ShadowRun and more!

Hours of Operations

Sunday: 11:00am-6:00pm

Monday-Thursday: 12:00-8:00

Friday: 12:00pm -9:00pm

Saturday: 10:00am- 6:00pm

Our closing times are more a "guideline" then set in stone. Depending on what event is running we are open until the players leave!

Overheard in a Game Store

Recently we started up a blog about stuff going on in the store. From modelling and terrain building to event recaps and product information. We will be trying to update it about two to four times per month.

The Pirates of the Plains Fellowship

The PotP have been a gaming club for 13+ years. Starting back with D&D 3.5's Living Greyhawk campaign they expanded into Living Arcanis, Living Spycraft and more. Since then they have moved to D&D 4th Edition with Living Forgotten Realms, Shadowrun, Arcanis, Savage Worlds and more. The Pirates host 2 game days per month, on the 2nd and 4th Saturday. They run 2 "slots" of games: 10am and 3pm. Anyone is welcome to come out and learn these systems!

The Ultimate-Gamers.net

The UGs are a group of avid Warhammer and Warhammer 40k players! They host regular Thursday night Warhammer Fantasy events at the store (open to all!), terrain nights and wicked cool events such as last summer's "Warhammer'd" weekend event. The UG also play a large role in supporting and organizing Myth-a-Con with Fantasy and 40k Team events.

The Calgary Battletech League

The CBT has been running leagues and events at the store for 2 years now. The league is made up of Sunday matches that pit Stable vs. Stable. The CBT plays on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month. The fun starts at 11:00am and runs all day. There is a league fee charged by CBT for daily prizes and league trohpies etc.

The Calgary Geek Social Club

New to the store the Calgary Geek Social Club runs all sorts of Geek events from Pub nights to Paintball, movies to their regualr Board Game Night at the store! The Geeks gaggle every three weeks on Tuesdays to try out new and old Board Games from our huge demo section.
