Warhammer 40k Escalation event begins September 7th.

Runs for 12 weeks with a one day tournament to wrap up the event. Here are the point escalations:

Sept 7th & 14th: 250 points -Skirmish rules
Sept 21st & 28th: 500 points- regular Force Org charts
Oct 5th & 12th: 750 points- regular Force Org charts
Oct 19th & 26th: 1000 points- regular Force Org charts
Nov 2nd & 9th: 1250 points- regular Force Org charts
Nov 16th & 23rd: "Catch point" battles. These 2 weeks can be used to play some games that you may have missed in the previous weeks.

D&D Red Box Game Day: Sept 11th, 2010

Come celebrate the release of the new D&D Essentials line of products and the new Dungeons & Dragons Fantasy Roleplaying Game with a classic-style adventure and a retro game experience!

The D&D Essentials product line is designed to give you everything you need to play the classic D&D game experience, and it starts with the new boxed set – the Dungeons & Dragons Fantasy Roleplaying Game. Inside the “Red Box,” you’ll find everything you need to begin your adventure. After you’re done exploring the Red Box, you can find all the rules for the 4th Edition game in the Rules Compendium, create the iconic characters you want with Heroes of the Fallen Lands and get ready to expand your campaign with the Dungeon Master’s Kit, Monster Vault, and Dungeon Tiles Master Sets.

Just for participating you’ll take home the pregenerated character sheet of the character you played. If you DM the game, you’ll take home the adventure itself, a poster map of the encounter areas, and the tokens used in the adventure. To satisfy your curiosity, here’s a quick description of the adventure!

Sunderpeak Temple
Long a bastion of good on the edges of the wilderness, Sunderpeak Temple has succumbed to an unknown threat. You have been tasked to journey to the site of the temple and find out what has befallen its residents, as the priests are needed to destroy an enchanted skill imbued with necromantic magic. Will you face down the dark denizens that dwell within and learn the truth of the temple’s fate? A Dungeons & Dragons adventure designed for 4-6 pregenerated characters of 2nd level.

Myth-a-Con is the Pirates of the Plains Fellowship expansion of the Conviction event. This year the Executive Committy decided to go back to what we do best and expand on it.

With that in mind we were approached by the Ulitmate Gamers to add in tabletop miniature games such as Warhammer, WarMachine, Battle Tech and more.

The biggest event though is the 3-round D&D Open. This is a tournament adventure created by Goodman Games for GenCon Indy.

Teams of 5 will enter the tournament to test their D&D 4E play skills and try to advance to round 2 and 3. More information is on the Myth-a-Con website.

What we need from the community is of course YOU! We need our players to head over to Warhorn and sign up.

Warhorn has placeholders for the adventures for RPGA, but until we figure out exactly which ones, the placeholders will have to do.

You can pay either by PayPal from the Warhorn website, or pay at Myth Games with Debit, Credit or Cash.

Magic the Gathering

Expanded to every Friday Night!

Our MtG runs every Friday evening (except holidays). Our formats run from Standard to Sealed, and Draft. On those rare 5th Fridays in a month we make it a Legacy event.

HeroClix is back on Wednesday nights at 6:00 PM. Unique scenarios each week!

D&D Darksun Encounters

Each Wednesday we gather at 6:00 PM for D&D Encounters. This "Season" we have a run through the wastes of Athras! This Darksun campaign is a preview of the upcoming campaign world by WotC. This event is free and open to all players.

The Pirates of the Plains Fellowship brings you another weekend of 4th Edition Dungeons and Dragons role-playing in the Forgotten Realms. The day is divided into 2 sessions (or slots). The first begins at 10:00 AM and runs until 2:30 PM. The second slot begins at 3:00 PM and runs until 7:00 PM.
